Meet Your E-Board
Nicole Newby – Co Manager
Nicole joined the executive staff and is working in the music department. While her favorite listening is in the areas of R & B, Rap, and Hip-Hop, she is working to get to know the rest of the station’s library of tunes. Nicole is a junior Communication Studies major, with a concentration in Broadcasting.
Courtney Pio – Co Manager
Courtney is a junior Communication Studies major with a concentration in broadcasting. This is her first year being a part of WDNR’s Executive Board. She is taking on the role of Co Manager for the station hoping to help WDNR reach out to the rest of campus and get more people involved.
Raj Murare – Operations Manager
Raj is a Junior Engineering major with a concentration in Electrical. One of his goals is to become a DJ. Raj believes music unites people from all over the world. Music is an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.
Mike Defusco – Program Director
Mike is a Business Management Major who joined WDNR in 2010 as a Freshman. He became part of the Executive Board that year as DJ Coordinator and is now the Program Director at WDNR. He has been working as a DJ for 8 years and continues with his show, “Friday Nights with DJ Mikey Mike feat. DJ Bru”, and DJing at mobile events back home.
Daniel Armenti-Music Director
Daniel is a Senior Communication Studies Major with a concentration in film who join WDNR as a Freshman in 2009. During his time with the station he has helped plan and run every WDNR event. He has been a major contributor to the recently added “Studio K” and bring Widener Pride Football games back to the airwaves of chester. He loves all types of music but U2′s “Joshua Tree” album is his all time favorite to play during his show
Mark Benedetto-Alumni Associate
Mark has been a part of WDNR since 2007. He was a member of the executive board from 2007-2008, Assistant General Manager from 2008-2010, and General Manager from 2010-2011. His passion lies in the heart of classic rock and has a weekly radio show on Thursday nights, ” Rockin’ with the Rock.” Mark is studying Physical Therapy at Widener and continues to be very active in the station.
Dwight DeWerth-Pallmeyer–Faculty Advisor
Dwight has been the faculty adviser at WDNR-FM since coming to Widener in 1999. He also chairs Widener’s Communication Studies department and teaches in Media Informatics. Prior to that he was faculty adviser at student radio station KCPR in California, WPNR in New York, and WAUG in Illnois. He has also worked as a professional news director at stations WVIK in Illinois and KOJO/KIOZ in Wyoming. During those times, he was a frequent reporter/contributor to NPR’s Morning Edition and All Things Considered, and CBS radio news. Currently Dwight also runs thevoiceoverbiz.com.
